Just wanted to update you all! After contacting the seller, they told me it might have just been the smell of being in the pouch. I’ve washed them a few times and let them air out for a week and the smell is mostly gone. Not sure if the pouch is BPA free, but it’s still there. A suggestion for the sellers – package them separately, that might help.
Aside from the smell, these bibs are great. Soft, cute, and durable. When I first got them, I was really worried about the really strong plastic smell, so I didn’t use them right away. So far, it looks like the smell is going away though so I’m feeling a bit better now. Will update if anything changes.

No matter how often I washed with hot water and soap and hung to dry, within a few months there were discolorations and even mold. Now with the silicone bibs, it’s so much simpler. A quick rinse and wipe is all it takes to get them ready for the next use. Plus, no more stains or moldy seams – hooray!
These bibs are adjustable, featuring a set of four sturdy buttons on the back which catch into the matching button hole – this allows them to fit a wide range of sizes. We use the second setting on our 9 month old, who’s pretty skinny – he can’t pull this one off either!
Compared to the cloth bibs, these have a better pocket shape too. The pocket tends to be closed in cloth versions, meaning food may not be caught, and it’s harder to see what’s fallen down. But with the silicone bibs, the pocket stays open, making it easier to catch food, and baby can easily see and reach into it.
Finally, NatureBond’s bibs also come with a clear travel pouch, which is a great bonus compared to other products. I didn’t think I’d use this, but it’s surprisingly useful for keeping in the diaper bag. Whenever we eat out, I can simply put the dirty bib (and spoon) into the pouch, which prevents any spilled food from getting everywhere. At home, I can quickly check if the bib’s clean or not by peeking through the pouch.

I just love how the silicone bib I got for my baby is so soft, it doesn’t restrict his mobility when he eats. The oversized catch part curves to the side and covers a good area, even catching some of his spills. He loves looking in there for any leftover bits! The only minor issue is that the holes around the neck are a bit small. Before this, we got the Baby Bjorn ones – they were really stiff and had all sorts of pastel colors and pearl embellishments which made it look like he was wearing a necklace! These bibs are so much gentler and aren’t gender-specific.

My only minor complaint is the button closure, which I find a bit annoying compared to zip-ties. Unfortunately, the holes for the buttons tend to rip easily when they get tugged on by my toddler. After a few months of use, the holes were so damaged that they no longer held the buttons. So, all in all, these bibs are great but don’t expect them to last too long if your little one’s a bit of a tug-happy monster like mine!

I was really impressed with these silicone bibs when I initially bought a set back in mid 2019. They were great quality and the colors were really nice. We used them every day for around 6 months before they started to crack near the fastening. It was disheartening, but I still decided to buy them again because of the lovely clear zip travel bag they come with – it’s perfect for storing dirty bibs on the go and is even waterproof!
Unfortunately, it seems like they’ve changed manufacturers or suppliers because the quality of the bag isn’t as good as before. The edges are really sharp and have actually caused myself and my husband some paper cut-like cuts while we were searching in our nappy bag. It’s a terrible hazard to children, so I wouldn’t recommend buying this product because of this. It’s such a shame, because the bibs itself are lovely.

As a first-time mama, it’s all hit or miss when I shop for baby products. So this time around, I decided to order two silicon bibs: Naturebond and Fisher Price Ultra Care. Here’s what I’ve noticed after almost two weeks of use:
1. Naturebond bibs are pretty big and broad with a large pocket. Perfect size for my active little one who loves to run around!
2. Someone mentioned in reviews about toxic plastic smell so I was a bit worried–but it turns out it was coming from the plastic pouch and not the bib. A bit of washing and drying, and the smell was gone.
3. Cleaning is easy breezy, I just pop it under running water with liquid dish soap and wipe it down with a dry cloth. Good as new!
4. The only downside is that it’s a bit heavy for babies, so my 1.5 year old daughter can take it off by pulling on it.
Fisher Price Ultra Care bibs are smaller, lighter and have a better locking mechanism. I usually end up using this one.

Although this product looks attractive and was easy to clean, it’s made of synthetic material which makes it quite heavy. Its hooks are also not well-designed. Unfortunately, after two days of using the product a bad rash appeared on the baby’s upper neck – so bad that it couldn’t even be seen at first glance because it was behind the hairs. This resulted in a visit to the hospital and a couple of days of constant pain for the baby.

It was really easy to clean too, just soap and water and it wiped clean – looks just like new. It folds up pretty well but it’s not as compact as the plastic or cloth bibs you can get nowadays. We even took it on a few trips with us – very handy! The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is because one of ours ripped near the hole (but it was still usable) and the accompanying bag wasn’t great… the zip broke after a few weeks.
