Putting this product on my pup was a breeze! Ever since I put it on, she hasn’t tried scratching it once – as if she thought “eh, naaaah, I’m good!” Definitely a great product and I highly recommend it. My pup’s breed is a Carolina Dog and Pit Bull mix – unfortunately the product didn’t have this specific breed listed, but I checked and it is officially recognised!

My puppy thinks she should go everywhere I go, so she watches me like a hawk when I take different clothes out of the house. To avoid being caught, I’ve started to sneak out and considered getting plexiglass for the back door – but it would be expensive and difficult to attach. This is when I found the Panther Armor Protector Kit – an alternative that’s cheaper, easy to apply and can be removed and stuck somewhere else. The rolls in the kit are made of a vinyl type material, which gave off a strong plastic-type smell when unboxed but the smell disappeared after a few days. I applied it to the door and frame, pressing down any bubbles and sticky bits, and making sure to cover the areas most likely to be scratched. Since applying the protector, I haven’t seen my puppy scratch the door at all – it must be doing its job! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Panther Armor Protector to anyone with a similar scratching problem, especially as it’s quick, easy and inexpensive to use.

My pooch loves to make a grand entrance and sometimes leaves a few scratches in the paint. But don’t fret! These guards give the exact protection I was looking for. They come in 3 convenient rolls, super simple to apply, and you can take them off without damaging the paint. A total must-have for any pet parent! Highly recommend.

When my best friend’s mom moved in with us, we had to make sure her new place was perfect. We couldn’t avoid the deep gouges she left on the doors and walls while in her old apartment—wheelchair bound and partially blind, it was no surprise. I had to get the security deposit back, so I decided to give this product a try. It was like window film, but way more sticky (it even peeled off some of the paint when I tried to adjust it). I decided to go all-in with the application, and it worked out much better than trying to do it one inch at a time. It has been a few weeks since it went up, and it is holding strong! Hopefully we can get the deposit back when we eventually remove it. This would be great for pet owners too, just watch out for paint damage!

This product piqued my interest when I heard it could prevent scratches. It sure does the job! It’s incredibly durable and can withstand even the most determined pup. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the adhesion was greater than I had anticipated. While this makes it a great product, it also has some drawbacks – it can be too strong for certain surfaces and may pull the paint! To avoid problems, make sure to test the product on the surface before applying. It’s best for freshly painted surfaces with no scratches, but you may want to be careful if there are any minor scratches or older paint. Apart from this, it’s definitely a great solution for preventing unsightly scratch marks.

I’ve had a love/hate relationship with Panther Armor’s double-sided sticky scratch tape, but this one is an absolute winner! It’s marketed for doors, but it’s great for the arms of chairs and sofas due to its perfect thickness, width and flexibility. It’s even better than other single-sided tape brands I’m using. If only Panther Armor made big sheets or even better, huge rolls of this stuff, I’d be in heaven! Protecting furniture arms has never been easier – no extra glue dots or pins needed!
MS –
This product is just what you need to keep your glass door safe from scratches by your pup! It comes in three pieces that are easy to apply and fit normal door sizes – even when my 80lb malamute stands up! Just follow the instructions, and you’ll have it all set up in no time – it’s even easier if you get someone to help you line up the pieces. The only thing I wasn’t completely happy with was the bubbles that remained after installation, but otherwise the product is perfect!
Polka4Life –
I’m so glad I got this product – it’s been a real lifesaver! My pup, who weighs 120 pounds, kept scratching up my back door and the paint was chipping off. But with this easy-to-apply film, my door’s paint job is totally safe. Even after two whole weeks of my furry friend scratching it every morning to be let out, the film is still firmly in place and hasn’t come off or peeled at all. I’ll definitely be stocking up on this stuff in the future!
Mark –
My pup hasn’t been able to resist testing out my new door covering, but luckily it seems to be sticking strong! She’s not a fan of how it feels, so fingers crossed it keeps her away from scratching any further.
Trapper –
Yay! My pup is so excited that I’m home that he scratches on the door, but thanks to the protector I bought, I don’t have to worry about the paint job on my walls! I’m absolutely thrilled with this purchase – it’s been a total lifesaver.
C.R.S. –
I got these for my wood doors to help keep two big furry friends I’ve got at home safe and sound. They tend to get a bit excited when they hear other doggies in the neighbourhood, so these have been a great help! I’m in the process of ordering more so that they can look out the window from their favourite bed spot. I did have a bit of trouble putting them on, as they were tricky to cut straight and stick without being covered in fur, but it worked out in the end! The edges are still holding up well despite a lot of scratching – no peeling here!
Nico –
Woohoo! We did it! Thanks so much!
Lauri Andres –
We have a lab mix who loves to scratch our doors. We needed something that would protect the finish, but not be an eyesore. That’s when we found clear door protectors! They’re almost invisible to the eye, but do a great job at keeping the door looking nice. Installation was really easy, all I had to do was start at the bottom and slowly peel away the protective layer as I smoothed it with a “squeegee”. It stayed in place and is standing up to all the scratches from our pup. The only thing I’d change is to make the squeegee something a bit more sturdy. But overall, this product has been a great solution!
Krista Garde –
Yay! I was worried, but they’ve definitely passed the test! My dog loves to scratch our door, so I decided to put two strips of this product on there to see how it would work. After about a month, the bottom 1/3rd of one strip came off – but the remaining 2/3rds are still holding up strong against all the scratching! I even noticed a subtle difference between where this product is, and where it isn’t!
It was super easy to apply, and I even got to cut them to fit my door – including around all the indents. I’m so glad it worked, as I was nervous about fixing the door without having to worry about scratches. This product is definitely a winner!
Hlobbestael –
These wall decals were a breeze to install and they’ve stuck around nicely. I’ve had them up for a while now, and they’re working great! A few of the corners could use a bit of extra adhesive but overall, I’m very pleased.
LC –
I just installed the product yesterday, so it’s a bit too soon to tell how effectively it works or how easily it’ll come off. I should have checked the size beforehand—my patio door is 6 feet tall, and with my big dogs always reaching high, one package doesn’t even cover half the door! I guess I could buy another package, but that would add to the cost. Hopefully, it’s all worth it! On the plus side, this has given me the motivation I needed to get serious about training my pup to let me know he wants in without scratching and barking loudly. Here’s hoping!
Kathie Mc –
We recently brought home two adorable kittens and although we got them plenty of scratching posts, they still love to give our furniture a good scratch! To protect it, we’ve attached some sheets over the areas they can’t resist, and these pads have been great – easy to apply, sticking firmly and lasting long so that our little furballs know where not to scratch. Problem solved!
P. Rubano –
Oops, I made a blunder! I mistakenly ordered the wrong adhesive intended for furniture and it didn’t stick. But with one quick message to the company, they kindly sent me the right product, and voila – I was all set!
Fabs –
We needed something to protect our white back door from four-legged friends coming and going. This product does the trick! It’s clear and almost undetectable when on, and it will protect the door from dirt, scratches, and more. It’s also very sticky, so make sure you get it on straight the first time – correcting it could be tricky. We don’t plan on taking it off anytime soon, but be aware that it may peel the paint if you do. On furniture, this product is a no-go. Cleaning off dirt is a breeze though!
Kate M –
This product does exactly as advertised, and it’s pretty easy to put on. There’s no visible residue left after applying – I applied it a week ago and it’s still going strong. The only downside is that it could be made even more convenient if the back had a grid pattern to help you cut it in a straight line. All in all, I’m giving it 4 stars.
Sea Queen –
This product works great and will keep cats from scratching whatever surface you put it on. The application is really easy and the adhesive sticks really well, so there’s no need to worry about it coming off. The price is a bit steep, but you get quite a lot of product for the money. You do have to be careful when removing it though, as the adhesive is super-strong. Mineral oil or wig removal oil can help you take it off without damaging the surface, but still be careful. All in all, I’d highly recommend this product as it does exactly what it says it will. And if you’re an online shopper like me, reviews are essential – which is why I always review products honestly, even if it’s a negative review!
Danielle H –
No pup-arazzi allowed – when we need a little time to ourselves, our dogs are prevented from entering the bedroom with a barrier and a repainted door. So far, it’s been working like a charm!
kathleen S. Baxterkathleen S. Baxter –
You get 4 rolls of this product, enough for the bottom of about four doors and more to spare! It’s super easy to put on and sticks really well. Plus, it can be easily cut down to any size you need. Though the price is a bit on the higher side, you won’t regret it!
Nettie –
I recently splurged on a new fabric couch and thought I was being proactive buy buying some protective film for the areas that my cats usually love to scratch. But then I discovered my one cat’s morning zoomies consists of him actually circling around the base of the couch on his side, claws included! To combat the problem, I decided to give this protective film a try since it came in a roll and it was exactly the width I needed. Applying it was super easy and the thickness feels perfect – hopefully enough to stop my naughty boy! The only bummer is that it wasn’t enough to go all the way around my couch, but I’m definitely picking up some more soon to finish up the job. Highly recommend this product!
littlebaby –
These protectors can be broken into pieces to fit perfectly onto your door. Whether it’s made of wood or metal, these pieces are sure to stick – and time will tell if they’ll stand the test of time! No matter what, it’s worth a shot to give your door some extra protection.
Debra Brown –
We’re so excited to welcome a litter of puppies! To help make sure our home is cozy and safe, we picked up something special—it’ll be perfect. We can’t wait to meet the newest members of our family!
Paul Echols –
I’m loving my new Panther Armor adhesive door protector system! It’s the perfect solution for keeping our two Frenchie puppies from scratching at the screen door. I can easily cut and adhere the plastic material to fit any size or shape – it’s so simple to use with the included plastic smoother tool. It’s great how the material is removable, so I won’t need it forever. This product is great for pet protection and damage prevention. I’m really happy with it – thanks a bunch!
D. Crighton –
This durable plastic really seemed like it could help reduce my cats’ scratching noise. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t quite quiet enough for us to be able to handle the sound at night. But, I can say that it was totally unscathed after a night of scratching – so it is worth considering! Just make sure you take your time when measuring and cutting the plastic to size before applying it – and you should be good to go! I haven’t removed any of the plastic yet, so don’t know if there would be any residue – but I have some left over which I’m going to put on our bathroom door too, just in case!
Atturk –
My cats have been getting their claws out lately, and I knew I had to do something about it. But this has worked wonders! It sticks like a charm and works brilliantly! It’s definitely noticeable, but it does the job and is great value too.

I was so excited about my freshly painted doors—I just didn’t want any scratches on them! These door protectors were the perfect solution. They were easy to cut and install, although I did have to pull it out and start over once because it ended up a bit crooked. I was worried that the new paint job would come off after all of the effort, but thankfully that wasn’t the case. There’s a slight shine to it, but that’s much better than having scratches or stains all over the door! Highly recommend these protectors.
Tange –
When I saw this thin plastic, I wasn’t sure what to expect since it was on a roll. But I’m glad I had nothing to worry about – the roll made it easy to apply and there was no curling. With my new sofa, my cat thought he’d found the best scratching post ever! So I put on this protector almost a week ago and, luckily, my cat hasn’t been able to make a dent in it, even though that’s probably what he’d like to do! The protector has a nice shine to it, although you don’t really notice it. It’s been working brilliantly so far and I’m really happy with the results.
Katycat –
This protector is amazing! My kitties were starting to scratch up some wicker furniture – but this protector is going to save it, plus my door and windows. Highly recommended if you have cats!
Jean Dyer –
I put this film around my door frame to protect it from my big pup’s scratching. It sticks easily and you can cut it to size, but I’m not sure how it will hold up against the elements or a large dog. I’ll let you know how it goes after a few tests. For now, though, it’s raining so my pup’s quick to come in when I take him outside. Hopefully as the weather clears and he spends more time out there, I’ll be able to tell if he can get through this super thin film.
Whits –
I recently applied this to the outside of my patio door and it’s been holding up really well! Even despite it having snowed and rained since. I used the edge of an ID badge to get rid of most of the bubbles and my dog has been scratching at the door to come in and it hasn’t peeled or been damaged. The only downside is that it has a shiny finish – I wish there was a matte option too!
Megan Gasser –
We recently got this awesome thing for our two doors – isn’t it great when pets can let you know what they want? Installation was super easy, and it’s all working wonderfully to keep our doors safe and secure. Our furry friends are happy, and we’re feeling pretty pleased too!

We’ve got a spunky kitty who loves showing her claws – and it turns out she’s doing us a favor by protecting our door frames!
Dee –
Wow, I was really surprised at how much plastic was included in one box! I love that this product is like a giant sticker with one side that’s completely adhesive – so much easier than those double-sided stickers. The plastic is a bit thin so I’d definitely suggest adding a second layer if you’ve got aggressive scratchers or larger breed dogs. My cats unfortunately don’t seem to like scratching on plastic, but as soon as I put these up they stopped scratching the area. All in all, nice quality!
SH –
I was worried that my cats were scratching and etching my glass door in the basement. So I figured it was time to give this product a try! It worked like a charm – I put panels on the bottom part of the glass up to about 4 inches above the handle and voila – my cats seem to be totally intimidated by the plastic! Problem solved! I’m really amazed at how this product was able to protect my glass.
Roberta Litteral –
I have two cats and one of them just loves to scratch at the door all night long. I’ve tried every trick in the book – spray, protectors, blocking the door, Feliway spray, toys, claw covers… you name it! After a particularly long night, I remembered that I had ordered some special door stickers to try out. They were super easy to install – just cut, peel and stick onto the door – and they worked! My camera caught the cat trying to scratch at the door but he was clearly frustrated and eventually gave up. It’s been a week since then and I’ve been having blessedly peaceful sleeps, while my kitty enjoys playing with his toys instead of scratching at the door.
Chloe Jackson –
I was pleasantly surprised to find out that these thick, huge sheets of clear tape actually work! When I got them and saw what they looked like, I was skeptical and left them untouched on the table for weeks. Our puppy loves to chew on furniture corners and our 6 month old kitten has started scratching them too – so I decided to give these a go! To my relief, both of my pets seem to stay away from the furniture corners I’ve stuck these tapes onto. I’m not sure why it works or what kind of magic repellant is at play here, but I’m very happy with the results and will keep another set of these tapes in my shopping cart for when these need replacing.
Laura Frazier –
My pup is a bit of a scruffy scratcher, and I wanted to protect my door from any additional damage. Thankfully, applying this product was a breeze – even on the uneven surface – and it’s kept my door safe ever since! What’s more, you can’t even tell it’s there! It’s been the perfect solution for my pup’s scratching problem.
MNG –
I’m loving the fact that this not only helps to protect and preserve my door, but also my paint job. Plus, it looks like my dogs are totally losing interest in scratching, which was exactly what this product was made to do!
shellkeane –
This might be a bit of an investment, but it will save us so much more money than refinishing our doors. Plus, the rolls are super easy to unroll. I even managed to rearrange one without any issues, and no extra damage to the already dog-chewed door! I also applied one to the outside of a glass patio door, even though it’s not advertised as an outdoor product – but it looks great!
Liz MacNear –
I recently needed something to protect a door from my dogs’ scratches, and this product seems to be perfect for the job. It comes in three rolls, so it’s easy enough to attach: just unroll the plastic, peel off the backing, stick it on the door, and you’re done! It’s important to remember that this product is very strong and doesn’t move easily, so make sure you get it in the right spot the first time. I was able to free a corner that had stuck in the wrong spot, but some of the paint from the door did stick to it – so be warned! Once it’s all set, you can’t really tell it’s there. It’s thick, strong and shiny enough to deter my pups, or maybe they’ve left it alone because it’s so discreet! It’s great that it won’t come unstuck at the corners like a similar product I have on another door, but bear in mind this one is permanent. All in all, it’s a great product if you want something you can install and forget about.
Teresa Chadwick –
This was a breeze to apply and adjust as needed without causing a headache on one of my cheaper internal doors. Interestingly, my kitty hasn’t scratched the door since I applied it – looks like scratching isn’t a thing anymore! If it was a bit more affordable, this would definitely be worth 5 stars; it cost me around $30 for three rolls, enough to cover the entire door up to about six inches below the door knob, plus a few extra feet to spare.
rehgallag –
I recently bought some new door trim and wanted to protect it, so I got this product and it did the job perfectly! No more cats scratching the trim – problem solved!
L. Brown –
I recently got some of the super easy-to-use application and put one on the windowsill for my pup who loves gazing out and another on the back door for the pup who isn’t so fond of cold weather. They haven’t been used yet, but I’m sure they’ll do the job perfectly! I even messed up applying one and was easily able to lift it and reapply without any sticky residue. I would love to cover my entire house with it! It reminds me of what grandmas usually put on their kitchen tables, though this version is a bit thinner. I wish I had a piece big enough to cover the whole table; especially now that my toddler is in the picture and likes to bang his spoon and fork. Plus, it would help with the crumbs that always seem to find their way into all the tiny crevices.
SJMcM –
I had a less than satisfactory experience with this product, but I was very pleased with the customer service. My boxer mix managed to get through it, but maybe a smaller or less determined pup would’ve had better luck! It’s super easy to apply, but unfortunately didn’t provide me with the protection I needed from my dog scratching my door – it lasted only one day!
Thedukes14 –
I have a chunky pup that loves to show me his fancy two feet dancing. But with the loud claw scratches against the glass door and the clanking of his metal collar, I needed to find a solution to muffle the noise. And this was it!
Rafael DanielianRafael Danielian –
This worked pretty great! The spots I put it were a bit scratched up, so it didn’t stick as well as I hoped – but overall, it’s good!
Shawn Hill –
Our 1 year old goldendoodle was so excited to come indoors that she’d scratch the back door with her nails – leaving unsightly scratches on the glass and wood trim. We weren’t sure if anything would help, but then we decided to give this product a try! To our surprise, the scratching stopped immediately – the nails no longer made contact with the wood. We figured she must not have liked the way it felt, since the scratching has been drastically reduced over the last few weeks. We’re so glad we tried this product, and would definitely recommend it if you’re in a similar situation!
Kelly wilcox –
Recently, I got some of these amazing items to protect my home from my five mischievous cats (who I’m working on taming!). One tends to scratch at door frames and the other loves to scratch up my couch. To my surprise, when I put this stuff on my furniture it seems to make it less tempting to scratch – like they don’t find it as scratch-worthy anymore! Thankfully, this means that I have fewer places to worry about in my house. I’m definitely looking to get more of this stuff so I can cover the whole house and keep everything safe!
Rosd –
My new doors totally deserved some protection from my active fur-babies, so I grabbed this pet scratch protector. It went on super easily and looks almost invisible when it’s on – perfect!
jthurm11 –
Recently, I decided to take in a couple of strays while road-tripping in our fifth wheel. To keep them from scratching things up, I put up a smooth surface. Hopefully, it will do the trick – I’m yet to see how they respond to it!
EmilyB –
Oh no! We’ve got too many bubbles in this product. Looks like we’ll need to get creative and find a way to get rid of them. Any ideas?
JaylaJayla –
My two large dogs are ahem ‘remodeling’ the wood around my front door and sidelights by chewing on it. So, I had to find something that would prevent further damage without looking like a mess. Enter: this door protector film! It’s transparent and super sticky, plus I was able to cut it to size so it fit over both the wood and glass. Because I had to install it by myself, it wasn’t as easy to get a totally seamless look – I think extra hands would have helped. I’m also concerned about it damaging the paint when I remove it, but that’s a risk I’m willing to take in order to protect the wood. Although I’ve just put it up, so far it’s been totally worth it. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it’ll be able to withstand the onslaught of holiday shoppers!
Mary A. Kennedy –
We’re loving this product! It’s super easy to apply – takes mere seconds! We’ve had it for a couple of months and all is going well, though we do have an 80lb German Shepherd. When we leave, she jumps up on the door frame and scratches all the paint in no time. So, we repainted and put the protectant over the top. And after a few months of jumping, we’ve only got one tiny scratch!
Camryn McKeeCamryn McKee –
We had a tough problem with our tomcat, who liked to reach up and scratch at the paneling in our archway. To fix this, we got some Panther Armor! It was easy to put on, it’s super sticky, and it seems like it’s working. Our tomcat doesn’t seem interested in it anymore – maybe he’ll go back to his scratching post now!
Deborah Ambrose –
I recently replaced the plastic sheet that was covering my door. I found this one and it went up so quickly! It looks so much better than the other one, plus I can barely even see it unless you get a close look. So far I’m really happy with it. I didn’t bother putting anything on the outside as I’m not too concerned about that. All in all, great buy!
April Renee Phelps –
Applying this was a piece of cake and I’m so glad I did! My four furry, pawing pooches won’t be able to scratch the glass door anymore – what a great investment this was! I haven’t tried removing it yet, but all signs point towards it lasting for a while.
Tricia13 –
My cats like to scratch…but not where I wanted them to! My one cat had an affinity for the corner of my bench ottoman. After trying out panther strips there, he switched over to a nearby cat tree instead. Success! For my other kitty who was scratching doors, I tried the same tactic. But – oops! – I put the strip too close to the edge, so when I peeled it off to center it some paint came off. Looks like the strips do work as a deterrent, but make sure you know exactly where you want it before putting it on – no surprises!
christina –
I’m so glad I found this product – it’s the perfect solution for keeping my pet from scratching my door! I’m only a few weeks in, but so far it’s working great. It does only cover flat surfaces though, so won’t protect the full door, but luckily my pup likes to stick close to the edges. Fingers crossed it stays this way!
Amy –
I recently stuck a thin laminate to my glass sliding doors to protect them from my two playful mastiffs. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out as planned and I found myself struggling to remove the laminate as it kept tearing and ripping when I tried. In the end, I had to use a razor to scrape it off! Though this doesn’t fit my needs, it may be perfect for someone else.

I just moved into a new place and I couldn’t believe the surprise I had in store! My Bengal cat liked to use her claws on everything – even the scratching posts – which my landlord wasn’t too impressed with. I finally found something that’s done the trick though, as she now sticks to her scratching posts instead of the walls!
michelle trujillo –
We’ve got the perfect pup for our place – and it happens to be a small doggo! We had an issue with our order, but they went the extra mile to make sure everything was sorted out. Seriously amazing customer service – two paws up! Highly recommend!
K. Schonberg –
My cat and I have had way fewer fights since I got this amazing thing! It’s so nice to finally win the occasional argument 😉 I’m definitely getting some more for myself, and then sending some to my dad and his kitty too. It’s the gift that keeps on giving!
TT –
I was thrilled to get these to stop my puppy from scratching up my doors and followed all the directions perfectly. I cleaned the doors and let them dry, then started to apply the product. In the process, two layers of paint and primer were inadvertently removed from my doors – this was despite me ordering this product as it promised that it wouldn’t remove paint and that the plastic could be removed without leaving a residue. Sadly, it seems like my puppy’s mischief caused less damage than this product! Now I need to repaint my doors…
Teri Leigh Baird –
We have two big dogs and one of them really struggles with separation anxiety. Whenever we go out, he freaks out unless we open the door right away. He did a number on our steel back door, but these put up some protection. They may not be tall enough to cover the full door, but they do the job! We’ve had them for a couple of months now and they’re still in good shape. It would be great if they could make something that protects the weatherstripping too! Overall, it’s a good product.
E.D. –
The delivery came through as promised and it worked like a charm! My cat has been so desperate to get out the door but now, thanks to this product, she won’t be able to cause any more damage. I’m over the moon with the results – and I’ve also used the couch protectors with brilliant effect too. Life is good!
Julie mikusJulie mikus –
I had no trouble getting this application set up and it definitely keeps our pup from scratching. I’ll be ordering more – super helpful!
Kevin R. O’Connor –
My pup gets so stressed out when I’m away that he scratches the door! To help him relax, I put up a panel on the door, molding, and drywall. It fit all the angles easily since it’s so flexible, and it only took around 20 minutes to get it all set up. The only downside about it is its shiny surface – I think a matte finish would look better. Anyway, it’s been a few weeks now and the scratching has been stopped!
